Graphic Designer, Writer
Represented above is a magazine page spread I designed for a MassArt project about the influential Russian Constructivist designer El Lissitzky. I created a page layout that was inspired by El Lissitzky's design aesthetics that embodied bold reds to allude to communist propaganda, blocky text—often capitalized letters—on the vertical and horizontal axes of a grid. I echoed the shapes of El Lissitzky's architectural forms with the alignment of the name "El" to the red bar on top of the page, and aligned text on shifting axes and multiple perspectives in an approach similar to Lissitzky's cubistic-inspired russian constructivist appoach.
