The hand-drawn digital illustrations above are stills from my Macromedia Director animation: "Footsteps in Snow." All images were created with Photoshop and Fractal Design Painter. This animation is accompanied by Frederick Chopin's "Nocturne in C# minor." In this movie, the snowfall of the Chinese characters in my mother's poem mirrors my mother's reflection on another winter of her life. An animation of my poem weaves between the lines of my mother's poetry.
