Comments: Represented above are three of my proposed homepage design options for my freelance client International Society (IS). Based in Boston, MA, IS is a non-profit organization that offers multicultural and multidisciplinary programs in visual arts, performing arts, humanities, and education. Through collaborative efforts with other organizations, IS facilitates international artistic and cultural exchanges. The concepts above captures International Society's (once known as Chinese Culture Institute) traditional origins using deep Chinese red velvet textures and festive bold reds to express the Chinese culture. Furthermore, by designing tight compositions of photography and emphasizing the dynamic energy of a Chinese-inspired modern art painting, I also sought to express International Society's thirst for the avante guarde and appreciation for western influences on Chinese arts.
